Good King Thor may not be fully finished beta testing the game, but I decided that for my own sanity and the sanity of all those around me I would just unleash Atomic Combat 2.0 upon an unsuspecting public... Everything seems to be working magically, so I figured "fuck it, I'm gonna release the thing," and so I did... Now comes the inevitable onslaught of downloads and then the onslaught of confused emails- "Why does everything show up sometimes?" (The Spy Plane/Spy Satellite "features" still aren't explained that well) "How do I play the card game?" (ditto) "I don't understand!" (neither do I...)
I'll probably post updates within the next few days about how the games getting along- I expect mixed feedback, so we'll see... However, I am quite proud of how the damn thing looks, and at least no one can say that this release is somehow uglier than the last!

Since you have no comments yet. Here is one. I am a fan of the earlier version of Atomic Combat 1-er-something. I just started up 2-er-something on my macbook. (2.2ghz Intel w/Leopard 10.5.6) The display of the cards is off screen and there seems to be no way to resize the window since it is also off screen on the bottom right so I am even more confused then the your suspected confusions expected. If you ever get around to it, please make it so you can see it on a macbook. Otherwise, ignore me at will.
Yep... King Thor and I had a rather extended conversation about this... I stubbornly kept the screen the same size, released the game... and then realized that half of the Mac user base can't play my game! I apologize to everyone, and rest assured there is an update coming with resizable windows so that everyone can become frustrated with the new Atomic Combat! (in addition to a link to the Top Ten, and some minor improvements. I hopefully will also have a working card and weapon editor within a month or so!)
For the card game, would be nice if it had some keybaord controls: space or enter = use card, delete or backspace = discard card.
Also, please write a game where I can slap things with hands, fish, celery. Bonus round should allow prodding with twigs, coat hangers and cattle prods.
ithankyou
